Scholarship at the intersection of peacebuilding, public policy, theology and social transformation
Dr Sipho Mahlangu is an interdisciplinary researcher working across Public Policy and International Affairs, Peacebuilding, Practical Theology and Social Transformation.
His scholarship explores how policy, leadership, religion, institutions and communities interact in contexts of conflict, peacebuilding and social change, with a particular interest in Africa and the lived experiences of communities.

Dr Mahlangu is pursuing doctoral research in Public Policy and International Affairs at the Thabo Mbeki African School of Public and International Affairs, University of South Africa (UNISA).
His current research focuses on peacebuilding, governance, public leadership and African peace processes, with particular attention to the relationship between policy frameworks and people's lived experiences.

He also holds a PhD in Theology from UNISA, grounded in Practical Theology.
This foundation continues to inform his research on pastoral care, religion and public life, community transformation and the human dimensions of peacebuilding.

Dr Mahlangu also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the UNISA School of Business Leadership (SBL).
His management and leadership formation strengthens his interdisciplinary engagement with governance, organisational leadership, strategy, institutional development and public leadership, complementing his work in both Public Policy and Practical Theology.
